Andaman and Nicobar Islands is an all year round tourist destination, it can be visited all across the
year. This place experiences pleasant weather conditions with very rare fluctuations in the
temperature. Every season in Andaman has its charm and you will get to explore something new in
every season. Though the best season to visit Andaman and to explore this gorgeous island is
considered from September to Mid of July.
Andaman (north), Andaman (Middle) and Nicobar (south) Islands are three groups of islands wedged
between the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea, separated by a 10-degree channel. It is a group of
572 islands, out of which only 36 are open to tourism. The capital is Port Blair, Great Nicobar is the
largest in the south, and North Andaman is the largest in the north.
The islands have a tropical climate with an average minimum temperature of around 15°C and
maximum 32°C. There is medium to heavy rain during the monsoon, in the months from Aug to mid-
September. There is no extreme climate except rains and tropical storms in late summer.
Food in Andaman and Nicobar Islands is mostly seafood served in hotels, resorts, and restaurants.
However, non-vegetarian and vegetarian North Indian, Bengali, South Indian, continental, and
Chinese dishes are also available, but prices are cheaper even most ingredients are imported from
the mainland. However, most of the fruits and vegetables are grown on the islands.

The main airport is at Port Blair, the capital of Andaman & Nicobar Islands known as Veer Savarkar
International Airport. Major airlines such as Air India, Indigo, Vistara, Go Air and Spicejet have daily
flights to/from Bengaluru (Bangalore),Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi and other major
cities within the country. Fares vary depending on how early you book.
Minimum of 4 days are required to visit the Andaman. Plan to spend two day in Port Blair, one day in
Neil Island and 2 days in Havelock. At least need one (1) week to visit the major best places in the
